  1. Michelin is indeed a prestigious recognition any hotels/restaurants would want.'Rising star' is their new concept which can be really helpful for both hoteliers and customers. As Michelin guide just concentrates on readers this concept of rising star can aware consumers about the restaurants which are given the rising stars.similarly, this recognition boosts the confidence to whom the title is awarded to try hard and acquire Michelin 1,2 or 3 stars. But,the idea seems to be vague regarding how long would it take to change from 'rising star' category to actual Michelin star. This, may cause frustration to those who dream of getting Michelin stars.Also.this can create negative impression in the mind of customers.Nonetheless,if Michelin people could workout on the related problems, 'RISING STAR'theory can truly be encouraging.

  3. Michelin star is very prestigious award for any restaurants and it will be the same for the rising star as well. The best thing about rising star is it acknowledges the effort done by the restaurants that miss the Michelin star by some relevant points. By mentioning these individual efforts Michelin motivates in great deal to get Michelin star truly. Michelin rising star gives 2 years time to chef to increase standards. By the restaurant prospect they will work hard to provide more efficient service, elegant ambience, and creative food to delight to their customer, on the other site customer will get high quality food with professional touch. With the help of rising star the restaurant can promote them towards market and make profit. Half of the rising star restaurant gets there proper Michelin star in following year which is very inspiring and the Michelin looking forward to see higher conversation rate in future.

  5. The concept of Michelin star is, it motivates the owner of the restaurant to give best quality of food and services to their customers. And it take lots of effort to keep that star and maintain that standards. Michelin star is very helpful to promote the restaurant and its reputation and make profit. We think the Michelin man gives a star to the food of that restaurant. Well 2 years of time has been given by the Michelin star to the chef of the restaurant to improve the quality of food for which they are tagged as one of the Michelin star by the Michelin’s and this aids the restaurant to increase their own business and to become one of the good restaurants in the world.

  6. I would say Michelin have done a great job by innovating the 'Rising Star' concept. It is a good way to boost the confidence of the restaurants who unfortunately missed the Michelin ratings. After the Rising star Michelin provides two years for a restaurants to get a proper Michelin status. I think its enough time for a restaurants to improve their quality and customer service.

Its also beneficial for customers as they can compare and choose the best available restaurants. Michelin gives restaurants a good image and it also helps to attract customers.
It also has a disadvantage because the customers with very high quality expectations will not choose the restaurants who has Rising star but will go to the one who has Michelin status.

But I think overall its a nice way of ratings the restaurants and improving their quality by judging them.
