ReplyDeleteafter reading the article i think that it is beneficial to customer as they get a better picture of whats going on and trends of the restaurant but looking at the business prospectus it can be dangerous said by André Garrett as per his experience when he failed to deliver the rising star in 2007.

ReplyDeleteAccording to me Michelin stars is a great concept for restaurant.
ReplyDeleteWhen a restaurant is awarded with a star it become a great prestige, it also motivates restaurant to work even harder to maintain the same or higher level of service. On the other hand if a restaurant loses the same or higher rating star then it might lose his confidence to serve better service or product in the market.

According to the article, most of the chefs do not convenient bout rising star because it is too much pressure for them. Michelin stars cannot deliver properly. Mechelin doesn't like asking the questions. On the other hand, it makes you to work hard to improve the restaurant. Everything has Pro's and Con's.

In my opinion awarding stars to restaurant is a good concept, but to maintain the high standard by restaurant in fact by chef to achieve this star is a big challenge on other hand it may or may not affect to the revenue of the restaurant.
ReplyDeleteAfter reading the artical, I would say that is more beneficent to Consumers rather then the Owners of the restaurant, because it helps customer to have a better Quality food & service with the listing, but the owners face trouble if they do not get promoted to the next level within the given period, which will result in losing customers & brand name as well.
ReplyDeleteMichelin Rising Star rating is I think good for both restaurant and the customer considering the reputation of having a specialized or excellent cuisine it offers. This kind of service a Michelin star restaurant offers typecast customers in the "elite group" who are the rich, famous and the powerful and whose apetite you've got to satisfy. So yes, looking at this target market, such michelin restaurant got to keep on adding or maintaining their star rating to keep their customers patronizing their restaurant.

According to me Michelin Rising Star Rating is good but at the same time as on the part of the business people its ruining them as they once done with a restaurant they give their ratings but it may not show the exact point of the restaurant. As many people join as food taster as they get good income, and good status, might happen that the taster has no proper taste or his taste might be different from the people perception or some other things but on the other side its good as it shows the customers the photo copy of the restaurant. instead of spending money in waste restaurant.

ReplyDeleteAs per my view Michelin raising star rating is one of the best way to rate the restaurants and hotels so that people will get to know a particular cuisine in a particular restaurant. Michelin also introduce yearly book for the people how wanted to know about the restaurants.the best part of Michelin is if you work for Michelin you will get to travel all over the world and also to taste different cuisine and enjoying the dining experiences.

From my point of view,Giving a grade to the restaurant is excellent concept in the hospitality industry. After awarding a micheline star to the restaurant it feel some another experience while working in the industry.so the standard of service must be high to maintaining a star rating and keep their customers happy.
ReplyDeletebut sometimes it may loss to your bussiness if they not promoted to the next level.
according to me giving a raising star rating is good to restaurant but its all depend on the staff.if any restaurant will get star rating so the standard of service and food has to be maintain.even its also motivates to the member of staff so that they keep their standard same.but on the other hand it also has some presser on the management to run their restaurant with star rating.
ReplyDeleteSome people believe it's all about the Michilin star rating ironically sime people like Tom Aikens the retauranteur believe in maintaining the standard's for their valued cumstomer's. Mr Aiken's had commeneted on not getting the two Michelin star rating this year by saying, I am not dissapointed about not moving up the Michelin ladder to two stars this year, but I'm pleased that we have kept the rising two-star status."
ReplyDeleteMichelin star is a good method of awarding restaurants. There are a few pros and cons though, the Michelin star is awarded once in 2 years. This is a lot of time for an organisation to be kept under the shadow of not being recognised. Obviously an organisation can rise up to the standards of achieving better heights than it got 2 years back. Also on the other hand it is of great use to the customers and critics to select a restaurant that is worth visiting. If proper changes are made in the selection procedure I am sure it will do wonders for all sorts of organisations.
ReplyDeleteUltimately,I think it has given me more confidence in my own approach. But still getting the star you cannot say anything as nothing touches Michelin for publicity.Mr Bulmer, editor of Michelin's Great Britain & Ireland, explains that the fixed two-year time frame is a window of opportunity for chefs to come through and achieve what Michelin thinks they're capable of - or go back to where they were.

ReplyDeleteMichelin star is an identity in the world of hospitality. It is a good concept to encourage hotelier to buil up a good image in customer's eye. yes it really benefits restaurant to make a mark in the outer world.because star rating really shows the world what quality standards they got to have that star behind it.
